There are different ways to explore Bangkok. Due to choice, many people get confused to decide that what to do in Bangkok. Even I got confused when I first visit this beautiful city. To ease you from the problems, I am sharing my guide with you which will help you to decide things to do in Bangkok and places to visit in Bangkok.
Stay at Patpong Hotels
Sure, you have so many options available in Bangkok to stay but Patpong hotels are relatively cheap and come in all standards. This district is more famous than another part of the city due to tourist attractions. The road of Patpong is full with restaurants, hotels, nightclubs, bars, go-go bars, strip clubs and local markets. Booking room in Patpong hotels is a wise decision as you don’t need to spend much on public transport because you can reach to all top attractions of Bangkok easily by foot.
If you failed to found a suitable hotel in Patpong which fit with your budget then you can choose other options like bed space sharing places, hostels for bachelor’s and guesthouse. As compare to Patpong hotels, there are fewer amenities in other options but at the same time these other options are good to save money which can be spent on things to do in Bangkok including shopping and seeing attractions etc,
Elephantstay is not part of Bangkok but tourists who visit Bangkok or stay there for few days choose to visit Elephantstay. This is a village of elephants and it is located about 1 hour from the main city of Bangkok.
Going there with family and kids is the best idea as you can spend a whole day there with nature and by doing things for elephants. You can help locals in the cleaning of the elephants; you can feed them and even ask the locals for the ride of an elephant which cost almost nothing. This place is quite big, so you won’t see much crowd at one place. Usually, people come in groups there. Non-profit organizations and organizations who care about animals mostly visit there. You can get in touch with them to see the elephants from near. If you don’t found one then ask from the locals as locals here own this elephant and can allow you to feed and take a ride over them in few bucks.
Enjoy street food
Thailand is the land of street food where Bangkok is its capital. Visiting the local markets to enjoy street food is one of the best things to do in Bangkok. Indeed there are many other options available to eat food including world-popular restaurants and food chains but I will suggest you take a break from them and taste the real food of Thailand by entering the markets of street food. They do cook in front of you. So, you don’t need to be worried about the cleanness and health issue.
You will found many unexpected food items in the food streets of Bangkok. So, if you are challenging and want to try something different then eat them. The price of local food is extremely cheap as compare to eating in regular restaurants. To enjoy street food, you can enter in night food market at Sukhumvit Soi, Chinatown and Jar Fai etc.
Explore local markets
Entering to the local market always open a new door for you to enjoy your stay in Bangkok. You can purchase a lot of stuff at very cheap prices. Usually, locals markets get opened early in the morning and stay opened till night. I enjoyed my visit most at Chatuchak weekend market because you can buy anything in this market at very affordable prices.
